Guest Lectures, 2008 - 09
 
 
 

At DCBS there is an endeavor to make education more practical & realistic and not just theoretical. In class it’s done by relating the various concepts with case studies. The industry- interface cell invites people from diverse fields to share their rich experience with our budding managers. The cell co-ordinator is Poojae Sethi. The following guest lectures were held during this session.

9th Oct, 2008 Dr. M V Prasad the Founder Director – DCBS, looked the staff & students of DCBS. This institute was his brain child! Dr. Prasad had a chat with all present sharing nostalgic moments. He made a presentation on the ‘Soft Skills’ required by all those who wish success to follow them, especially budding managers who may not pay much heed to sharpen these essential skills.

# Mr. Avinash Oza, 3rd November, 2008 Knowledge Manager, Ogilvy Action, Mumbai had an interesting interaction with the students. His presentation was an insight into rural India. He showed clipping, advertisements and other promotional material used by leading MNC’s to tap the rural market.

   # Mr. Saurabh Dafaria from MILESTONE SCHOOL OF STOCK MARKETS- Ex Research Analyst, Kotak Securities, introduced the students to analyzing & trading of stocks on 19 Jan 2009. Equity Markets Trading, Fundamental Analysis, Basics of Technical Analysis, How to exit Market Crashes in today’s Markets, Live Trading Sessions online Current scenario of Stock Markets: When to Enter?
 Following which interested students joined a workshop held by them at DCBS.

# Mrs. Ratna Dutta, Entreprenuer – Elan, Dubai shared her experiences as an entrepreneur. The skills, zest, determination and the never-give- up attitude required by a budding entrepreneur to become successful!

    # on 27th November, 2009  Mr. Om A Singh Chauhan, Head Business Excellence –Airtel spoke to    DCBS-ians about the telecom industry with special reference to Airtel. He shared with them the organizational culture and the USP of Airtel; highlighting the strategies used to counter the cut throat competition and efforts  made by the company to touch the emotional chords of their target audiences.
