An Introduction
DCBS conducts BA (Hons.) Business Studies, a three year undergraduate
programme in Business Management. This programme offers
students an opportunity to choose from two variants: -
1.
BA (Hons)
Business Studies
i.
All Three
years of studies in India
or
ii.
First two
years in
India
and the final year at Leicester Business School, De Montfort
University, UK
Students pursuing this programme are also offered a unique
opportunity in terms of one-year placements. Student can
club this three-year degree with an additional placement
year in the corporate world making it a more value added and
useful four-year degree.
The four-year
degree is more appreciated for PG Admissions in the
universities of UK, USA and Australia.

Optional
placement Year: a unique opportunity
Placement
year constitutes 48 weeks full-time employment with a
company immediately after the degree. Placements are
normally arranged and approved by members of placement unit
of the institute. However, you may arrange your own
placement subject to the acceptance of the Placement
Manager.
During the
placement year, the student will be assigned a tutor who
will make regular visits to the place of employment. In
discussion with student and the employer, will produce a
report on student’s performance.

Admission Test:
The admission test is a multiple choice objective
type. Duration of the test is one hour. It consists
of 60 questions covering Verbal aptitude (Reading Comprehension, English Usage, Vocabulary),
Quantitative Aptitude (Algebra,
arithmetic (of class 9th and 10th )
and logical reasoning
Interview:
An
interview is a face- to- face meeting, especially for the
purpose of assessing the qualities of a candidate.
Interviews are aimed at evaluating the candidate’s academic
knowledge, awareness of current topics, communication
skills, the clarity of thought and expression, poise and
sense of balance.
